Wow! Do you know what a lucky girl I am? Probably not, so I will tell you my story. I was in a terrible situation where I was living. My owners did not take care of me and they allowed me to have litter after litter of puppies. I was not getting the food that I needed and they did not bother to give me heartworm preventative. Finally someone reported the situation to the Humane Deputies and they came to my rescue. They brought me here where I could get the care that I needed. I now have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. No more puppies for me! You can see that I have recently had another litter of puppies, but with good nutrition and exercise my girlish figure will return. And yes, I was heartworm positive when I came to the shelter, because I was never given heartworm preventative. Fortunately for me, a kind donor stepped up and paid for my heartworm treatment! I am sure hoping someone will want to take a chance on me so I can have a home with a family that will love and appreciate me.
