My name is Aimee. Golly, I am so happy to be here. You see, life so far has not been so good for me. My owners were not very nice people. Animal Control took me from my front porch where I was tied up day and night and they brought me here. I was starved and very pregnant when I arrived. All of my babies died because I was so malnourished. And you know what? Even after all of this neglectful treatment by my owners, I still love people! Since I have been here I have gotten all kinds of medical treatment, lots of good food, and plenty of hugs and kisses! I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I, of course, tested positive for heartworms and I have completed my treatment. While I have been at the shelter the great folks here have taught me how to play fetch! Yes, I will sit down in front of you and wait for you to throw the ball. Then I will run like the wind and bring it back to you! Also they have discovered that I love, love, LOVE squeaky toys! One thing you need to know about me. While I was tied up on that porch I had to defend myself many times from other dogs, so I can be fearful of dogs and unsure of them. It would probably be best if I were adopted as an only dog in the family. I really hope that someone will give me a chance to have a happy home and put my past behind me.
